As the COVID-19 event continues to develop we've taken steps to protect the health and wellbeing of our colleagues and clients.
We are no longer working out of our Leeds or Cologne locations and all members of the Anno team are working remotely from home. This is an arrangement the team are already accustomed to and as such, there's been limited impact.
All client meetings will be conducted remotely for the foreseeable future.
We appreciate our clients' continued support and we hope everyone is able to stay safe in what will undoubtedly be a very difficult period.
North West-based Rainford Wade Construction is a residential and commercial building services provider with a growing reputation throughout the region.
The company have been operating for some time but had yet to develop their online presence, with their success dependent on word of mouth recommendations. The website we built for Rainford Wade is developed around a custom CMS, with original content creation and on-page signal optimisation also carried out. Off-page efforts will focus on business citation management and link building as the domain currently lacks authority.
We'll update this post when the results are in, but early signs are encouraging, with a number of viable leads having been derived from online enquiries.

The Cleaning Collective is a recently established supplier of cleaning products to trade and domestic customers throughout the UK.
Their domain is newly registered and as such had limited authority, so we quickly moved to built authority links to the site using guest blogging and skyscraper techniques. NAP consistency and business citation management was also carried out, along with keyword research and improvement of on-page signals. We liaised with the team on how best to customise their e-commerce solution to implement on-page optimisation and have also provided consultation on how to improve trust signals.
We've seen significant improvement in search visibility, a 230% increase in clicks derived from organic search over three months and also a corresponding increase in online sales over that period. We continue to support The Cleaning Collective through link building and consultation on on-page signals, and expect to see further improvement as this work progresses.
Our client is a leading provider of information and communications technology solutions with operations worldwide.
While their primary website is hosted on an authority domain with dozens of sub-domains serving each of their divisions, they also have a number of separate domains for niche products and company subsidiaries. Following Anno's successful off-page optimisation work for the company's optical transmission and marine engineering subsidiary, we've been engaged to replicate this work across a number of group websites.
We've seen search visibility and visits derived from organic search increase substantially for each of the projects we're involved in, including a 90% increase in organic clicks for the website focusing on submarine cables. Due to the nature of the business we have limited insight regarding impact on sales and brand recognition, but we understand that the improvement is considerable and have been rewarded with a contract to continue our work into 2020.

The client is an outdoor clothing retailer with a high street presence and long-established online retail offering. Due to pressures on the high street the business felt it necessary to reduce their store estate and focus on growing online sales.
We advised that they consolidate several websites around a single domain and worked alongside their development partner to improve user experience. We then implemented aggressive off-page optimisation, on-page optimisation and provided consultancy on how best to improve trust signals.
Off-page optimisation meant that the domain achieved parity with better performing competitors inside 60 days, with clicks from organic search increasing 40% during that period. Since we began work on the project in May 2019, unique sessions have increased 105% and online sales have grown almost 120% thanks also to a solid improvement in conversion rate. This trend continues as we support the business in achieving their new, more ambitious goals.
