CGS Glazing is a leading provider of window and door installation services in the North West of England.
When we were approached by CGS they had several domains focusing on different aspects of their service offering. We consolidated around the most authoritative domain and built a new WordPress Genesis Framework-based site, wrote optimised content and provided consultancy around the importance of trust signals.
This site launched in Summer 2018 and in the 12 month period following Christmas, clicks from organic search increased 590%, largely due to effective on-page optimisation leveraging existing domain authority. Calls to action were also introduced, significantly increasing click-through-rate and conversions derived from organic search.
CGS has seen substantial growth in business following this work and the positive trend continues despite challenges faced by businesses operating in the home improvement market.
Burnley Balancing is an engineering company specialising in the static and dynamic balancing of industrial rotors.
The company was established in 2002 but have never had an online presence, with their success built upon the quality of their service and reputation in the industry. We designed and developed a website based on a custom CMS, writing original content and optimising on-page signals. Off-page optimisation to improve domain authority will also be carried out.
It's early days but subsequent to the site being indexed the company immediately began receiving enquiries derived from organic search, including from large multinationals in the aerospace and manufacturing industries.
Last month we opened a new office in Cologne and moved our Leeds office up the road, all in the same week and without losing anything/anybody in the process!
Our Köln office sits in the shadow of the Kölner Dom, little more than a stone's throw from the Rhine. Our neighbours are architects, graphic designers and other digital agencies, so there's a creative buzz about the place and a welcoming, collaborative atmosphere that's already benefited us as we develop new business in the German market.
We've also moved our UK base from the city centre to Shine on Harehills Road, somewhere familiar to Adam due to his time with the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses programme. The team at Shine are a lovely bunch and the work they do not only benefits their customers but the wider community. We're super excited to share this wonderful space with them and it's great to see so many familiar faces from our 10KSB days.
Despite the past couple months being beyond hectic, we've somehow managed to pick up a handful of new clients along the way and we'll talk about those projects once the results are in.
Since we launched in Summer 2017 we've been too busy to build our own website, and with much of our work generated through word-of-mouth it didn’t seem necessary (there’s no marketing strategy more effective than clients advocating on your behalf!) That said, we're proud of the work we're doing and it feels remiss not to be doing more to share our successes.
